Street lighting situation in our URBANISATION

Street lighting situation in our residential area

The condition of the street lighting in our residential area continues to worsen due to the Mijas Town Council’s failure to meet its maintenance obligations. Despite repeated requests for repair, the situation remains unacceptable:

  • Over 120 burnt-out street lamps leaving large areas unlit.
  • 11 street lamps missing and not replaced.
  • 8 broken globes.
  • 14 leaning street lamps, posing a potential hazard.

This lack of proper maintenance affects not only the appearance of our community but also the safety and quality of life of all residents. We urge the Mijas Town Council to fulfil its responsibility and take immediate action to restore proper street lighting.
