Dear residents,
We would like to share with you a series of photographs showing pruning waste being dumped directly in our green areas.
👉 This practice is forbidden, it violates the municipal ordinances, it is subject to sanctions, and in addition to spoiling our communal areas after so much effort to maintain them, it also poses a serious risk to everyone, as certain types of plant waste can even self-combust.
Our urbanisation, Sitio de Calahonda, is very fortunate to enjoy so many green areas, but this also means we must take care of them and protect them together.
Some of these illegal dumps have been discovered thanks to the collaboration of responsible residents; others during the regular inspections carried out by the EUC as part of our self-protection plan. Although awareness is steadily increasing, we still unfortunately encounter these situations from time to time.
🙏 We kindly ask for your cooperation:
-
During your walks, if you detect any waste dumping, please let us know.
-
Please ensure that your gardeners do not carry out these practices.
-
All pruning waste must be deposited only in authorised places.
👉 The EUC provides a designated pruning waste deposit behind the office (C/ Monteparaiso nº 6), open from 8:00 to 15:00.
For garden waste from properties within the urbanisation only
👉 In cases of large-scale pruning (for example, palm trees or pine trees), please contact the office so that collection can be arranged if necessary.
With responsibility and everyone’s cooperation, we can keep our green areas safe and in good condition.
💚 Thank you for helping us to take care of Sitio de Calahonda.
