August in the Urbanisation: Reinforced Cleaning and Incident Management
The month of August is marked by the large influx of tourists and property owners to our urbanisation. While this is positive for the community’s social life, it also brings a significant increase in maintenance needs, particularly in terms of cleaning. For this reason, we have reinforced the service during these weeks.
One of the main issues at this time of year is the appearance of rubbish, furniture, and other items left in unauthorised places: next to litter bins, on the streets, or even beside the waste containers.
The administration office reports these incidents to the Council on a daily basis, as it is the authority responsible for their removal. This is done through the Gecor application, by submitting a photograph and a description of each case. https://gecorsystem.com/
It is worth noting that this application is available to all residents, either by downloading it to a mobile phone or by accessing its website. Through it, different types of incidents can be reported, such as:
-
Furniture collection (tel. 648 960 541).
-
Street lighting.
-
Disposal of garden waste.
-
Presence of wild boar.
-
Issues related to waste containers.
Everyone’s cooperation is essential in helping to keep our streets clean and safe.
Finally, we are pleased to share below a photo gallery of other notable actions carried out in our streets this month.
1.- A small example of incivility:
2.- Repair of broken manhole covers, painting, cleaning and maintenance of green areas, removal of fallen branches, pruning of smaller palm trees, street cleaning, and garden maintenance – these are just some of the tasks our staff carry out on a daily basis.
