On Saturday 6 October, the “Captain Day” golf tournament was held. The event was organised by Chris Day at La Siesta Golf Club.
This competition gathered over 50 players of many nationalities, common thing in our urbanisation. You could hear English, Finnish, Norwegian, German, etc and of course Spanish. The modality was stableford and there were prizes for male and female categories, nearest ball and best shot. There was even a hole in one that is so hard to get and desired at the same time.
While playing the participants were offered drinks, food, fruit and later they could enjoy a delicious paella that the organiser prepared for all the players.
The winners received a trophy and some presents such as golf bags, ball sets, towels, etc.
It was a very enjoyable day where many nationalities got together. We hope Chris Day and La Siesta Golf Club keep on organizing events that make our daily life more pleasant in Sitio de Calahonda.
