Works in April 2026

During the month of April, the EUC Sitio de Calahonda has continued to work intensively on the handling and resolution of incidents, with the aim of maintaining our urbanisation in optimal condition for all residents.

As is customary, numerous actions are carried out each month in relation to general maintenance, ranging from minor repairs to more complex interventions that contribute to the good condition of our infrastructure and communal areas.

In addition, we continue to devote efforts to the management and monitoring of incidents that fall under the responsibility of other organisations. In this regard, we would like to highlight the concerning situation of several manhole covers located at the entrance to the urbanisation, just after the church. This is an area that many residents will already have identified as hazardous. For several months, we have been requesting their repair from both the responsible company and the Mijas Town Council, and we will continue to press for a definitive solution. We would like to remind residents that anyone can also report this issue via the Gecor platform, which helps to reinforce the collective request.

On the other hand, we are pleased to report that a significant issue, which was also outside our direct responsibility, has finally been resolved following our efforts. This concerns a large pothole on Calle Beamar, near the McDonald’s roundabout, which has now been repaired, thereby improving safety and traffic flow in the area.

We continue to work daily to improve our surroundings and appreciate the cooperation and commitment of all residents.

Below, we present the photo gallery for the month of April:

  • In these photographs, you can see the pothole on Calle Beamar and how the issue has been resolved by the Highways Authority:
  • Here you can see the dangerous condition of the manhole we have mentioned and the risk posed by its location on such a busy road. We hope to be able to report soon that the responsible company has already carried out its repair:.
