INTERVENTIONS JULY 2026

During July 2026, a range of maintenance, repair, improvement, and safety works were carried out across public-use areas and facilities. The works were undertaken to address identified maintenance requirements and to ensure that these areas remain safe, functional, accessible, and well maintained.

The works included the refurbishment and repair of the children’s playground in Avda de España in preparation for its reopening. Routine maintenance works were also carried out, including cleaning, vegetation clearance, and general upkeep of access routes and surrounding areas.

Further works included the repair of defective and damaged manholes, the repair and replacement of posts and signage, improvements to waste collection facilities, and the installation of give-way signage and pedestrian safety measures. Various defects affecting public areas and infrastructure were also addressed, including the repair of potholes and other areas of damaged pavement, the installation of metal mesh where required, and the repair and reinstatement of damaged footpaths and paved areas.

Additional improvements were made to children’s recreational facilities, including the installation of a baby seat to improve the comfort and accessibility of the playground for families.

Overall, the works completed during July have addressed a range of maintenance and safety requirements, improved the condition and functionality of public-use areas and facilities, and contributed to maintaining a safe, accessible, and well-presented environment for residents and visitors.
